Heroes of the Storysphere
Post-Course Qualitative Feedback & Retrospective
Executive Summary
✨ The Transformation is Real
The course is highly effective at shifting participants from passive/isolated mindsets to states of resilience, agency, and connection. Almost everyone experienced a significant positive impact on their daily lives.
🖥️ The "Clunky" Tech Stack
Universal agreement that Kajabi is a point of high friction (disorienting, lack of native notifications). Conversely, WhatsApp is the undisputed champion for engagement.
🏗️ Curriculum Needs Scaffolding
Participants felt confused early on. The course needs more direct instruction, clear expectations, and mandatory sharing right from Day 1. Less "why story matters", more "how to do the work."
💬 The Coaching Dilemma
1:1 coaching is the primary value driver, but delivery needs refinement. Some feel it must be mandatory; others feel the current model is too generous and should be scaled back to protect the coach's time.
🚀 High Demand for Continuity
Interest in a "Part II" is exceptionally high (mostly 10/10). Participants want a tangible way to be recognized (digital badges, physical merch) that integrates into the community.
I. The Transformation (The "Why")
1. The Magic Moment: Breakthroughs during the course
- Elena Using a different name to view herself in the third person, allowing her to investigate her roots.
- Liza & Heather Described it as a "slow burn" or a "buildup" rather than a single lightning-bolt moment. Heather noted it cured her feeling of being fundamentally alone.
- Keith Quickly identifying limiting stories and finding a renewed sense of bravery.
- Halla Reframing massive life setbacks (food poisoning, theft) from "the bottom always falls out" to temporary, manageable challenges.
2. The Shift: Growth & Change
- Elena Catches self-limiting stories much faster to head them off at the pass.
- Liza & Keith Pushing themselves to take more risks and building greater resilience.
- Halla Shifted completely from a victim mindset to feeling in control.
3. Life Impact: Navigating daily life
- Elena Greater awareness during weekly planning and recognizing the narratives she attaches to tasks.
- Liza Improved communication and positive impact on her marriage.
- Heather Uses tools like Focusmate and feels a stronger foundation for building her business.
- Halla Achieved a "glass half-full" outlook that restored her well-being.
II. The Value Proposition
4. The Investment: Was it worth the price?
- Elena & Liza Absolutely worth the price (Liza specifically noted the high value of the 1:1 coaching).
- Heather Worth it, but questioned if the new, higher price point would sell easily without a warm audience.
- Keith Pegged the value at $997 with coaching, or $497 without (due to current website polish).
- Halla Stated $1,295 is a "very fair" price for the transformation provided.
5. Ideal Hero: Who is this for?
- Elena & Liza Inquisitive, introspective, playful, and willing to be challenged.
- Heather Open-minded people who are comfortable with discomfort and don't need to be spoon-fed.
- Keith & Halla People stuck in repetitive patterns, holding a victim mindset, or coaches looking to level up.
III. Curriculum & Content
6. Pacing & Length
- Elena Felt it was too short; wanted to go deeper.
- Heather & Keith The length was "just right."
- Halla Suggested adding one additional week to ease the pacing for those who miss sessions.
7. Friction Points
- Elena & Heather Lessons felt vague, ethereal, or confusing early on. Heather felt her brain didn't process it like everyone else's initially.
- Liza Too much time spent justifying the existence of stories; wanted more practical demonstrations.
- Keith Overemphasis on "story catching" rather than "story creating/planning."
- Halla Student insecurity about "getting it right" hindered early participation.
8. Redesign Suggestions
- Elena & Liza Make modules clearer, add different processing modalities (art, meditation), and focus more on strengthening positive stories.
- Heather Introduce mandatory sharing and goal-setting on Day 1. Less open interpretation, more direct instruction early on.
- Keith Shift a week from "catching" to "planning" and add a pre-course meet-and-greet.
- Halla Start every session by restating the core concept to ground the students securely.
IV. Ecosystem & Support
9. The Platform: Kajabi vs. WhatsApp
- Consensus: WhatsApp is highly effective because it fits into existing habits. The Kajabi website is a major barrier to community engagement.
- Specifics Elena experienced scrolling bugs; Liza found it disorienting and fatiguing; Heather forgot to log in; Keith cited a desperate need for direct hyperlinks between the course and the community space.
10. The Space & 11. Coaching Delivery
- The Space: Universally praised as very safe, brave, and inclusive. Small cohort sizes (10-12) were explicitly called out as critical for this.
- Coaching (Elena & Liza) Make it integral/required to force neurodivergent participants to engage and get the full value.
- Coaching (Heather) Keep as an add-on to preserve the perceived value of the coach's time.
- Coaching (Halla) The current model is too generous; reduce to one 1:1 session per person, relying on the group for the rest.
V. Future & Recognition
13. Part II Interest & 14. Legacy
- Part II: Extremely high interest across the board (mostly rated 10/10, with Keith at an 8/10).
- Digital Legacy System icons, badges on the platform (which could act as a prerequisite for hosting community events).
- Physical Legacy Challenge coins, exclusive merch (t-shirts), or sending flowers upon completion.
- Keith's Insight CEU Opportunity: The course could likely be approved for 7 ADHD-specific PAC CEUs. This is a massive selling point for the coaching demographic.
